My heartbeat in this season

Take this flesh and burn it clean
Take these ears and flush them open
Take this heart and break it beautiful

Break me beautiful to you
A jar, a vessel, a body broken over your feet
Shatter the grit of my pride upon your graceful whisper
Be blessed in my cry to you

May this breath carry your incense
May these feet forge your peace
May these bones burn within
Burning your purity into surrounding flesh
May these eyes close to this world consumed with your light

Make my body your temple, your uniform, your image
Step into me and push me into you
Fill me till overflowing
Pour out
Fill me again I want to know you
Consume me with your fire and Spirit
My hands your hands
Your eyes my eyes
This voice your breath
My ears your heart

Rise up your lion within me and tear apart the giants
Rise up your roar within my Spirit shouting your victory
Raise my arms on your eagle's span
My limbs your wings
Yoke me to you, your bull, your servant

It is only your thunder that quickens my blood
Only your drums that pound in my chest
Only your banner that covers
Only your Spirit that satisfies
Only your Word be done

Prepare me for what is ahead.
Consume me in the fire of your presence my God.

When are you coming to visit? I've been writing quite a bit recently and have lots to show you. This time at the Cave - my treat.

miss your writing, or perhaps it is your spirit. I can tell that something is changing in you. When we first met you were like an alabaster doll with eyes that reached out, I imagine there is change in those eyes today.

Hey Mr.P I don't think I'll be making it back to Saskatoon before September... I'll have to see how things go this next month. Give me a shout though if you swing by my neck of the woods. I know about a place here that is just as good as the Cave in it's kitch value.
