Stirred Up
I'm loving this January! All the other Januaries I knew were typically a very cold and sluggish but this one... is markedly different. The weather here in Edmonton is nuts, it hasn't even broke -20 and there is still green grass in my backyard?! If November was hazy then this month is crystaline and full of promise.
I'm really excited about going to MET (ministry essentials training) tomorrow and it is almost midnight and I still need to pack! Typical me, I bet I'll be doing laundry at two in the morning because I don't have enough socks... note to self buy more socks. I have to remember my toothbrush...
Why else is this January so amazing you ask? Well, I believe this will be a year of healing, and a year where God raises up faithful leaders here in Canada who seek His kingdom and are eager to fulfill the Great Commission. I really believe this, and I think it will come out of the youth. When Jesus healed the paralytic man, in Jerusalem, it was well known that every year the angel of the Lord came down and stirred up the water of a pool just near the sheep gate, the first person in the water would be healed of whatever ailment they had. I believe that God is going to do this kind of 'stirring up' again, here in Edmonton, and on campuses across this nation. Are you also listening for the ripples and the rushing water?

A new baby in the family!
So this is so wonderful! My sister, Natalie, gave birth to her third child this Sunday night at 8:45pm. I got to be in the room with her and I must say it was amazing. Her new son, David Walker Stephen Johnson, was 7lbs 7oz and was born just shy of 37 weeks.
Amazing. I love being an auntie and I actually got to share David's first few moments of life outside the womb, how cool is that? Nat is doing great and so is David. Her other two little ones are so excited to have a new baby brother, which is a whole other blessing!

Christmas 2005
So here is the official documentation of the Johnson/Smith family Christmas 2005. Dinner was at my sister's place. It was awesome to share that day with Trent's mom and brother. Click the link below to see a slideshow of this this Christmas.*
